Govindarajan Narayanan, M.D., is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with subspecialty expertise in vascular interventional radiology and a clinical focus on interventional oncology with Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Dr. Narayanan specializes in interventional radiology and interventional oncology, with a focus on advanced, minimally invasive, image-guided therapies for cancer, including liver and pancreatic tumors. Dr. Narayanan earned his medical degree from Chennai Medical College and Government General Hospital in Chennai, India. He completed extensive postgraduate training in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology at leading institutions in the United States, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, St. Barnabas Medical Center, the Medical University of South Carolina and Stony Brook University Hospital. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology with a certificate of added qualification in interventional radiology. Throughout his career, Dr. Narayanan has been a national and international leader in interventional oncology, advancing minimally invasive therapies for patients with complex cancers. His clinical expertise includes image-guided tumor ablation, transarterial therapies and advanced interventional techniques for liver, pancreatic and metastatic cancers. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Narayanan is deeply committed to education and research. He serves as a professor of clinical radiology at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and scientific presentations. He is frequently invited to speak at national and international medical conferences. Dr. Narayanan’s patient care philosophy centers on delivering personalized, compassionate care using innovative, minimally invasive treatments while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support each patient’s overall cancer journey.
