Andres Montero, “Andy” began his career at the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s office where he gained the necessary trial skills to defend the rights of the injured against powerful insurance companies. In just his first 2 ½ years as an Assistant Public Defender, Andy tried over 40 jury cases ranging from Grand Theft to serious Life Felonies. Notably, in defending his first murder case, Andy was able to demonstrate to the jury the prosecutors had accused the wrong man of 1st Degree Murder. After only a five-day trial, Andy obtained a jury verdict of “Not Guilty” for his innocent client. Andy opened his own private practice in 1995 and has been vigorously defending the rights of others in both State and Federal cases. In 2004, Andy joined longtime colleague, Jaime Suarez.
